Susan comes to Valley Vision after more than ten years as a Vice President with the Sacramento Metro Chamber where she oversaw the Programs & Events division leading large scale planning projects while raising in excess of $1M annually. Prior to her chamber work she worked extensively in the travel industry focusing on corporate and group travel planning.
As an accomplished professional with a long record of success managing large, diverse projects in high-pressure environments, Susan has developed unique expertise and proficiency in all aspects of large and small event production, fund development, contract negotiations, and believes strongly in building, and sustaining investor and vendor relationships. With strengths that include being results-oriented, detail-focused, measured under pressure and decisive, she’s found success at driving profits and motivating team members to pursue excellence.
She is a 2007 graduate of the Leadership Sacramento program and an American Leadership Forum, Mountain Valley Chapter Sr. Fellow of Class XV. She served on the California Capital Airshow Board of Directors from 2010 to 2013 before moving to Virginia. Having grown up in an Air Force household she has a strange addiction to airshows; so you’ll occasionally find her working on the ramp of shows on either (or both) coasts getting an adrenaline rush watching really cool planes, do really cool stuff.
Susan works with Valley Vision remotely and lives with her husband Mike and their two dogs in Omaha, Nebraska where he is stationed in the United States Air Force.
