After starting a career in IT/management consulting, Bryan Merica has become one of Sacramento’s leading digital and communications strategists. With a career path that took him to Los Angeles, Orange County and San Francisco, Bryan cut his teeth in Silicon Valley during the dot-com era as a key member of several Internet startups.
In 2003, he founded the Idego Group, which became IDMLOCO, a Midtown-based company providing digital solutions to brands & businesses, political campaigns, artists & athletes and non-profit organizations. In October 2017, when IDMLOCO turned six and as data-driven communication has dramatically changed the campaign landscape, the company rebranded itself and today is known as Unearth.
Unearth has grown into one of the areas most watched digital strategy companies—a point proven when Bryan was recognized as one of the region’s rising stars by the Sacramento Business Journal, making the 40 under 40 list in 2014. He also co-founded Fox & Hounds Daily in 2008, later named by the Washington Post as one of the state’s top political blogs.
Early in his career, Bryan worked in management consulting with international consulting powerhouses Deloitte & Touche LLP and Price Waterhouse LLP. He also was a Senior Strategist at the enterprise software firm, PeopleSoft. Once relocating to Sacramento, Bryan was able to put all his experiences to work and startup his own ventures. Ever since he has enjoyed developing strong professional and personal relationships here with “exceptional people” (his words).
Bryan graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific and joined the Valley Vision board of directors in November 2015.
