Christine joined Valley Vision in 2011 as a project consultant directing the Next Economy initiative, the Sacramento region’s $5.3 billion jobs strategy to build a robust, more diversified and competitive economy. She transitioned to Valley Vision’s communications advisor in 2014, providing strategic counsel and guiding communications activities inside and outside the organization.
Christine is a communications professional with long-standing roots in the Sacramento community and two decades of experience spanning radio, television, newspaper, start-up ventures, nonprofit organizations, private industry and public agencies. She’s held top positions with The Sacramento Bee, Sacramento Metro Chamber, San Jose-based start up venture Sevant.com, the Downtown Sacramento Partnership and several local public relations agencies before moving to freelance work in 2008.
In all that time, Christine has been an avid champion for the region’s cultural and economic growth. She’s invested her professional experience and personal time in endeavors that help advance the city’s vitality. Some of Christine’s most distinguished leadership contributions have centered on her passion for building identity and placemaking. This includes things like being a founding member of the Diner en Blanc—Sacramento Host Team; advisor to the Metro EDGE Leadership Council; leadership roles with Sacramento Metro Chamber’s study missions to Chicago and Denver, and trip chair for Philadelphia; and co-organizer of the Sacramento Region “Brandathon.”

Christine lives in Sacramento’s Land Park neighborhood with her husband Michael and their two children Nicolas and Kiera. The family loves to travel, cook and cheer on the San Francisco Giants.
