Ruben Moody

Communications Intern

Ruben Moody joins Valley Vision as our Communications Intern. A native of North Sacramento, Ruben attended Sacramento City College, and the University of the Pacific where he studied Political Science. While at Pacific, he managed events, and programming to support Latino student recruitment and retention at the university. When he returned to Sacramento, he served two years with City Year Sacramento at schools in Oak Park. While at City Year, Ruben managed the social media strategy, where he first learned about communications.

When he joined St. HOPE, he successfully launched the organization’s social media accounts, and managed all aspects of the accounts. Also, he wrote and edited articles for the monthly newsletter, and served as the network’s photographer for events. As a photographer, he has provided photography services to the Ronald McDonald House, Green Tech Education, among others, and has been featured online and in print for Comstock’s Magazine.

Ruben enjoys traveling, and has visited almost a dozen states, and hopes to apply for a passport soon in order to take an international trip. Currently, he lives in Oak Park, where he can be found at a coffee shop, editing photos, writing, or curating music playlists.
